The Gallery
The Wall Gallery first opened in 2016 as a result of several sporadic conversations between gallery owner Nando and illustrator Ana Yael. We both agreed on the need to create a local space that would relinquish the elitist feel of other galleries in favour of more democratic and local art that would accommodate both large collectors and smaller art consumers. A place that would be accessible to all kinds of audiences and bring together emerging Barcelona-based artists with divergent styles.
At the heart of Barcelona’s pervasive contemporary and creative atmosphere, over time The Wall has become an important artistic enclave in the iconic neighbourhood of El Born. It has received a warm welcome from the community and also from passers-by who stop at the window every day to see the latest pieces on display. Despite being a gallery for local artists, The Wall has succeeded in crossing the Atlantic and its works now reach such faraway locations as Buenos Aires, Tokyo and San Francisco.
The gallery currently serves as an artistic launch pad for more than twenty artists and designers who showcase and sell their work in our gallery and on this website. The activities run by The Wall to promote the artists it represents include exhibition curation, interior design advice, management between artists and clients, and participation in art fairs and marketplaces.
Contact
As Picasso used to say, “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” We want to dust off your life and bring you closer to art. If you like what we have to offer, don’t hesitate to contact us and discuss any questions or requests that you may have. We are always happy to see that there are still people out there who believe in art’s power to change.
